How to Request Read-Only Cerner Access
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for requesting Non-Physician View-Only access to Cerner through the CNID platform. It includes logging in, locating the user, selecting the correct access group, submitting the request, notifying HR, and completing final activation steps.
Step 1: Log in to the CNID Platform
- Open a web browser and go to:https://cnid.cnmc.org
- Log in using your PSV\Username and PSV password.
Step 2: Navigate to User Access Management
- On the left-hand menu, click the three-line menu icon(the “hamburger” icon).
- Select Manage Access.
- Click Manage User Access.
Step 3: Search for the Employee
- In the Search Usersfield, type the employee’s name.
- Click themagnifying-glassiconto search.
- When the correct employee appears, click the green checkmarkto select them.
- Click Nextat the bottom of the page.
Step 4: Filter Access Options for Cerner
- On the Manage Access screen, click Filters.
- In the Entitlement Application field, type Cerner.
- Select Cernerfrom the dropdown list.
- Click Apply.
Step 5: Select the Access Group
- In the search bar, type Non Physician View Only.
- Click themagnifying-glassiconto search.
- When the entitlement group appears, click the checkmarkin the upper-left corner of the group box to select it.
- Click Next.
Step 6: Submit the Access Request
- Review the access request details.
- Click Submit.
Step 7: Notify HR for Approval
- After submitting the request, HR must approve it.
- Email Denise Baerga at [email protected] inform her that a Cerner access request is pending her approval.
Step 8: Notify the PSV IT After Approval

Once HR approves the request, you will receive an email stating:
“Your request has been approved.” - When you receive this approval email, contact the PSV IT at [email protected].
- Let PSV IT know that the Cerner request has been approved so they can reset the Cerner password.
